"The intent of my work is to create a sense of expansion and contraction and to push the boundary between abstraction and reality. Each painting has its own set of rules, deconstructing imagery from a varied pool of influences, and then reconstruction into my own language.
The repeating marks and forms are derived from patterns of repetition found in nature. My intent is to create an energetic composition with forms that are both familiar and mysterious to the viewer."
Taylor Cox received her BFA, with a concentration in painting and drawing from Kennesaw State University in Georgia. She continues to exhibit her work locally and nationally.
