Dale Rayburn Bio
Dale Rayburn was born in Carriere, Mississippi in 1942. He received a Bachelor's of Arts degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and an MFA from the University of Mississippi. He has been a professor of art at many universities including the University of Mississippi, Dekalb college, and Louisiana State University. His paintings and etchings of landscapes, still lifes, and colorful Southern characters can be found in the permanent collections of numerous museums across the United States, including the Georgia Musium, the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Yale University Art Gallery, the Mint Museum, and the High Museum.
