David Manola, owner of Boulevard Fine Art South is a Chicago artist who renovated this 5,000-square-foot space in Nokomis, Florida himself. He filled it with an international collection of original art from well-known established artists, new artists and local artists. Manola says the artwork ranges in style from traditional to contemporary and prices range from comfortable to investment.
He attended the Art Institute of Chicago and spent his career working at noted Chicago galleries. He opened his first gallery in 1996 in Oak Park, Illinois. later, he moved to Clarendon hills, Illonois where he went from a small art gallery and frame shop to a larger gallery with a lot of art specializing in original fine contemporary art, as well as a full service custom framing department. In 2020 he purchased the old nokomis post office and added his second location. David is no stranger to the sarasota area. his grandmother owned various properties in venice which allowed david to grow up enjoying the beautiful gulf coast and loving the area. artistic talent seems to run in the manola family. His eldest son marco is a graduate in computer animation and design from ringling school of art in sarasota, fl.., his middle son leo is involved in 3d printing and design and his youngest son nilo is also artistic.
In 2023, david and his family decided to close the chicago gallery and move to the sarasota county area as permanent florida residents. Along with himself, He has hired local people to work at Boulevard Fine Art south & Custom Framing, including experienced artists and framers.
